Office moves and new-office IT
An office move is a good time to sort out your IT. We plan the IT side with you and set up the new office.
What we do
An office move touches every part of your IT: the broadband, the phones, the network and Wi-Fi, every computer and printer, and the way your people sign in on the first morning. We’re an IT company in Hull, and we plan and run the IT side of office moves in Hull and across East Yorkshire, so your team loses as little working time to it as possible.
We start with what you have now and what the new office needs: how many people, where they’ll sit, which equipment is coming and which is due for replacement. You get a plan with a date for each step, agreed with you. If you’d like to know where your IT stands before you commit, start with an IT Assessment.
The broadband line is often the item with the longest wait, so it goes first in the plan. We work with you and your internet provider to check what the new office needs and help arrange it.
If you need to take your business phone numbers with you, we can help move them.
We install network cabling, business Wi-Fi and CCTV in the new office. Wi-Fi and network installation has the detail.
We work either side of your removal company: we disconnect your computers, screens, printers and any servers before they’re moved, then reconnect them in the new office. It’s also a good moment to retire old equipment: getting rid of old IT equipment responsibly explains how to wipe and recycle it.
On the first morning, people need to sign in, open their files, print and take calls, so the plan includes a check of each. We can be on site that morning if you’d like us there. If something breaks after the move, call our 24/7 emergency line on 01482 274969.
