Why you need a

The Cloud offers many benefits, one of which is the flexibility and scalability to extend your current technology beyond the reach of the traditional 4 walls. You can take advantage of additional resources at any time and without the expensive upfront cost to do so. Whilst Cloud Computing is not anything “new”, since the pandemic of 2020, the use of Cloud and Work from Home or Anywhere has skyrocketed. Those that already utilized the Cloud, were able to pivot without major change, whilst those without, struggled to put plans in place.

FAQ – the questions we’re asked most often about Cloud Services & Computing
What is cloud computing?
In its most simple terms and without covering all the different variations, it is still a physical server at least somewhere, but it is not at your location and it primarily communicates over the Internet in order for people to access the information, this is where the “Cloud” aspect comes from.
In a nutshell, you are renting the resources in someone else’s datacentre, think of it like leasing a car and you can keep getting the latest model.
Which cloud service is best?
Whilst there are many, many cloud services out there for a host of different scenarios. The 3 big main providers for running IT Servers and Infrastructure are Amazon (AWS), Google (GCP) and Microsoft (Azure). All 3 provide similar functionality with a few give and takes between them.
As a Microsoft Solution Provider, we primarily deal with Microsoft and their Solutions, this is what we have experience and are trained in and what we base our solutions on.
What Cloud Solutions do you offer?
We offer a range of Cloud Solutions, some of these solutions include; Microsoft 365 for Emails, Chat, Calling and Collaborations.
Microsoft Azure to run your Cloud Servers and Business Applications, Backups & Disaster Recovery or even Cloud PC with Windows PC.
Should I go Full Cloud or Hybrid?
This entirely depends on your business approach and your employees.
Typically we tend to recommend the following:
– New Business and Small Business with little servers – Full Cloud, unless there is a specific scenario or reason otherwise.
– Existing Business with Multiple Servers – Hybrid, this way you can take advantage of the cloud as and when you are ready and move in stages.
Do I need to backup when in the Cloud?
Yes.
The “Cloud” is still infrastructure, physical servers or services and things can still go wrong. You need to still have a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plan, should things go wrong or be unavailable. You should still have a backup too.
All providers strongly recommend that you have a backup stored elsewhere outside of their own services, even if it might seem unlikely, you still need one.
