Servers and hybrid IT

Servers and hybrid IT, looked after properly

Not everything belongs in the cloud. We look after the servers, storage and cabling in your building, and join them up with Microsoft 365.

What we do

Plenty of companies still need servers in their own building, alongside Microsoft 365. We look after on-site and hybrid IT: Hyper-V across multiple physical hosts, SANs and NAS storage, UPSs, on-site Active Directory and hybrid Active Directory with Entra Connect, remote desktop servers, and server rooms, racks and cabling.

Windows Server 2016. Microsoft’s final security update for it is due on 12 January 2027. If any of your servers still run it, our guide to Windows Server 2016 end of support explains what that means and what to do next.

Backups. A server is only as safe as its last backup that you’ve actually tested. See Backup & Disaster Recovery.

What’s included

What you get

  • Hyper-V across multiple hosts

Virtual servers spread across more than one physical host, set up, updated and looked after.

  • SANs and NAS storage

The shared storage your servers and files live on, looked after with the servers.

  • UPSs

Uninterruptible power supplies, so a power cut doesn’t take your servers down without warning.

  • Active Directory, on site and hybrid

On-site Active Directory, and hybrid Active Directory with Entra Connect, so people use the same account in the office and in Microsoft 365.

  • Remote desktop servers

Remote desktop servers for people who work on a shared server, in the office or from home.

  • Server rooms, racks and cabling

Server rooms and racks installed and kept in order, with the cabling that connects them.

How it works

How we take on your servers

  1. See what you have

We document your servers, storage and network, and how they connect to Microsoft 365.

  2. Agree a plan

What needs doing now, what can wait, and what’s coming up, such as Windows Server 2016 reaching the end of support.

  3. Put it right

Updates, backups and security brought up to our standards.

  4. Look after it

Monitoring, maintenance and regular reviews, from a support team working from the same documentation.

Every server set-up is different. When we look at yours, we’ll talk it through with you, including whether you still need the server at all, and agree what looking after it involves.Get an IT Assessment

Frequently asked questions

Do you still look after on-site servers?

Yes. We look after Hyper-V across multiple physical hosts, SANs and NAS storage, UPSs, on-site Active Directory, remote desktop servers, and server rooms, racks and cabling.

What is hybrid Active Directory?

Your on-site Active Directory kept in step with Microsoft Entra ID, the sign-in behind Microsoft 365, using Entra Connect. People use the same account in the office and in Microsoft 365. We set it up and look after it.
